What
procedure is carried out for Nadi prediction?
Nadi's predictions are inscribed on the palm leaves that
have been written by the Saptarishis. However, reading these predictions might
not be easy as it requires knowledge of ancient Tamil and Sanskrit literature.
Moreover, it’s difficult to find a particular Nadi leaf from the heap of
bundles. For sorting out the exact report, we use the thumb impression of the
native. For men, the right hand’s thumb creases are used and for women, the
left hand’s thumbprint is taken. But the process doesn’t end here as the thumb
impression can help in finding out 5 to 6 bundles each containing 50 to 100
leaves. After this, the Nadi astrologer has to read every leaf to reach the
exact one. Even after carrying out this exhaustive process, the reader needs to
verify the Nadi leaf’s details with the help of the native. This means to
expedite this process, the individual needs to extend his/her support.
The first page of the Nadi leaf comprises the first
Kaandam that represents the native’s Lagna. Generally, this would provide predictions
related to the 12 houses of the Native’s birth chart. And, for in-depth
information related to each house, the native can check the relevant Kandam
(chapter) mentioned in the Annexure. It is noteworthy that the Nadi leaf of an
individual describes the most important events of life. However, to achieve the
results, the soul must cleanse all the bad karmas done in its previous births.
For freeing oneself from the sins done in the past lives, the person should
follow all the remedial measures (parihaaras) prescribed in this scripture.
These remedies are mentioned in separate chapters called Shanti and Deeksha (No
13 and 14).
